Week of Tuesday, September 7-10, 2010

Theme:     COLORS
Letter:      Bb is for Ball
Number:    2 (two) and Counting up to 10 using objects

DAILY:     1)     Practice writing your name.
             2)     Practice counting up to 10 using the point and count technique.
             3)    Practice writing the letter and number of the week.

Monday – Labor Day: NO SCHOOL

Tuesday – Draw a picture of something that starts with the letter Bb.

Wednesday – Practice writing the number 2 10x

Thursday –  Mix the colors… RED+YELLOW= ?  BLUE+RED= ?  YELLOW+BLUE= ?

Friday –  Share Day:  PLEASE BRING A “B” ITEM!  Bring something to school that begins with the letter of the week and that you would like to share with the class.  Please bring ONLY “1” item and the item must be able to fit inside your school bag or in your cubby area!  A share item must be appropriate to bring to school, therefore toy weapons, make-up, etc. should not be brought as a share item.  Thank You for understanding!  Your child will share their item in front of the class and will be asked to discuss the following questions:
       1)  Why did you choose to bring this item to school?
       2)  What does it do?
       3)  Where did you get it? / Who gave it to you?
       4)  What is your favorite thing about this toy/object? Etc…
