First Grade Homework Packet

September 7, 2010

Due: Friday, September 10, 2010

 

*Please have your child write their name and number on each page of

the packet.

 

**Please keep the Family Times paper at home for your own use.  The activities

on this paper are great way to give your children extra homework if you feel they

need it.  : )

 

*** Unless we are practicing uppercase, please have your child use lowercase letters

on their assignments. 

 

Spelling Words:  

  I         see          a            mat         as           green

 

Spelling: Write each word 3x each in ABC order on the handwriting paper. 

Example: 1. a a a

2. as  as  as

and so on.

 

SPELLING TEST FRIDAY!!

 

Reading: Please read, with your child, for 10 minutes each night. Look at your child’s READING LOG for more information. Please don’t forget that there should be an entry for every night of the week, except Monday of this week.

 

Math:  Complete “Making 6,7,8 and 9” worksheet.

 

Phonics:  Complete workbook pgs. 9/10 & 13/14

 

Handwriting: Please, please, please make sure your child is using neat handwriting

when doing their homework.  Complete wkbk pgs. 5-8
