Calendar
We are using Google Calendar and hope that this will make it easier for you to coordinate all of the events in your family’s life!
We will still provide a yearly calendar in the beginning of the year and send home a monthly calendar update, but our online calendar will be most current and a great source for information and reminders.

We Need You – Please Get Involved!
Research shows that active parent participation in school not only improves your own child’s performance but enhances achievement for every child in the school. All of our parents are required to complete a number of participation hours each year, and there are many opportunities to get involved.
Have you considered taking an active leadership role in our school? St. John Catholic School is thrilled to have a consultative School Board and an active Parent Teacher Group. Both of these groups meet monthly on Tuesday evenings. All parents are welcome to come to any PTG meeting or help with any committee’s work. School Board members are nominated (by themselves, other board members, or faculty) and serve limited terms pending selection and approval by the Pastor and Principal.

SEP: School Extension Program
Our SEP Program provides enriching, nurturing care and engaging activities for our children before and after school. Our program opens at 7:00 am and closes at 6:00 pm. There is structured time for children to play, do homework, participate in arts and crafts, join the fitness club, and socialize with their peers in a supportive and safe setting. Many children who do not require care after school participate in SEP because it is such a wonderful program. Please download the SEP form or call us for more information!
CYO Athletics
We are so proud of our athletics! St. John’s has a rich history of athletic excellence and amazing parent and community participation in sports. We offer basketball, volleyball and cheerleading for boys and girls. We have alumni, parents, parishioners, and dedicated volunteers serve as coaches. Please contact our Athletic Association for more information about our wonderful CYO program.

Our Diocese
We are proud to be a part of the Diocese of Oakland, a culturally diverse community that includes over 50 schools. St. John Catholic School, along with the many other schools in our Diocese, provide students with a quality education rooted in the Gospel of Jesus Christ, Catholic tradition, and service to the community of faith. Shamrock Bucks
Shamrock Bucks is an important program that allows our school to raise needed funds at no cost to you. By purchasing scrip cards at face value, you are making a small donation to our school. All of these small donations add up and help us to improve our facility and renovate our school to maintain the best learning environment for our children.
