Faith Life
“Be it known to all who enter here that Christ is the reason for the school. He is the unseen but ever present teacher in its classes. He is the model of its faculty and the inspiration of its students.”
Our faith is lived daily at St. John’s!
In addition to religion instruction in the classroom, our faith is practiced and celebrated throughout our days. Here are a few of the ways in which we live out our faith:
- Our entire school family attends Mass every Wednesday
- Children participate in liturgies as altar servers, readers, choir members, and committee planning members; faculty members assist in planning and serve as Eucharistic ministers
- Our children interact daily with our Pastor
- Our Presentation Sisters are an active force of faith modeling
- Our Sacramental preparation program gets our children and families ready for Reconciliation and First Holy Communion and the ongoing celebration of these gifts
- Every child in our school is a part of a Faith Family
- Our Student of the Month awards recognize and honor children for demonstrating Christian values
- Service Learning helps our children to put our faith into practice
- Our entire curriculum, discipline, and mission supports the faith formation of our youth
